Unfolding the Foldscope Saphale Village 5th Aug 2018 NSS Unit, KCCollege

Coordinated by the KCCollege, NSS Unit, PO Dr.Satish Kolte we knitted together students from Balvarg to 12th Science and Arts. In Saphale village Karwel Pada and Patilpada Balwadi, the children enjoyed the view through a hand held microscope. A gadget which was light, didnt scare them, they could touch n feel, best viewed in sunlight appealed to the. They came forward to see the white n coloured petals of a flower, leaf structure, muddy water n more. They spoke in a language which didnt rebuke them n found answers by beleiving what they saw. The ease of handling of the Foldscope made science to them, real sense that didnt need any evaluation. Thanks is due to Dr.Archana Thite and the entire NSS student clan who came on a Sunday. Frugal science indeed host KCCOLLEGE.[caption id=”attachment_54345″ align=”alignnone” width=”300″] Balwarg to 12th Science and Commerce students engaged in the observation.[/caption][caption id=”attachment_54349″ align=”alignnone” width=”300″] If it aint simple i dont want to learn reaching out in a language received by all.[/caption][caption id=”attachment_54350″ align=”alignnone” width=”300″] I learn most when i do it myself observed white, red, pink flower petals.[/caption][caption id=”attachment_54354″ align=”alignnone” width=”300″] Handheld Foldscope but no handholding ask, seek, explore.[/caption][caption id=”attachment_54356″ align=”alignnone” width=”300″] Science for all microcosm envelopes us all, Commerce 12th grade student explores on her own using Foldscope.[/caption][caption id=”attachment_54357″ align=”alignnone” width=”300″] What colors them all leaves, petals n more.[/caption][caption id=”attachment_54359″ align=”alignnone” width=”300″] Slides made by students.[/caption]
